What is Eagles Rendezvous?
Eagles Rendezvous (ER) is a Bible study ministry of Eagles Communications that reaches out to Christians.
A specific biblical book is studied in cycles, each cycle lasting six to seven weeks. Led by trained leaders of Eagles Communications, these studies are designed to be informal and interactive, with emphasis on the application of the biblical text to the pressing issues of life today.
Original study notes will guide group members through the process of understanding and applying the Bible. The biblical text will be examined inductively with the following questions addressed sequentially: "What does it say?", "What does it mean?" and "How does it apply to us now?"
You will be spiritually enriched and empowered by:
- Understanding and appreciating the Bible
- Learning fresh insights from theologically trained teachers
- Covering systematically OT and NT books, especially difficult passages
- Applying yourself to the truths of God's word in own life's situations and circumstances
- Using the OIA method of Bible study - Observation, Interpretation & Application.
Eagles Communications is committed to teaching the Word intentionally and relevantly to help us experience the Word for ourselves. We seek to build a community of biblically-minded followers of Christ.
The parables of Jesus are wonderful and original stories but often misinterpreted. In this series, we will set them in their cultural, social and religious context and explain them as they were intended for their original listeners. In fact, all His parables are about the Kingdom.
We will explore seven parables, from the beautiful inspiring ones to the difficult ones. They are not just creative stories from a great Preacher. In each one of them, there is a sting in the tale. Join us to discover the heart and mind of our Lord through His parables.
Mr Michael Tan has been with the organization since 1968 as one of its Founding Members. He has served full time since 1979. He is presently overseeing the various programs of the organization and charting directions for its future. Michael is on the faculty of Eagles Leadership Institute (ELI) and has spoken at leadership conferences and retreats in Singapore, West and East Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and China.
